Frequently Asked Questions

Do K9 inspections replace pest control treatment?

No. K9 detection helps identify where activity is likely present so treatment, exclusion, abatement, or follow-up can be more focused.

Do you work with professional partners?

Yes. We support pest control and landscape partners by helping identify where to focus treatment, exclusion, abatement planning, goose management, or follow-up inspections.

Are your detection teams certified?

Our bed bug and rodent detection teams are nationally certified by NESDCA and recertified annually. We are also NWCOA certified and Connecticut DEEP licensed.

Do you work outside Connecticut?

Yes. Connecticut is our base, and for select bed bug and rodent detection projects, we travel throughout the Northeast when the fit is right.

Do I need ongoing management services?

Wildlife, especially goose and rodent pressure, is rarely a one-time event. Most species follow repeating behavioral and seasonal cycles tied to food, shelter, nesting, breeding, migration, and environmental conditions.

We often compare it to lawn care. A lawn continues to grow throughout the season and needs regular attention to stay maintained. Wildlife and rodent management works much the same way. Consistent monitoring and maintenance help prevent activity from reestablishing over time.

Geese often return to the same properties year after year because they learned to fly there. Rodents follow similar patterns through shelter availability, food sources, travel routes, and seasonal pressure. In many situations, if you are not seeing activity, it is because preventative management is already working behind the scenes.

What happens after an inspection?

We explain what was observed, where the dogs indicated activity, and what next steps may help the property owner, manager, or pest control partner make an informed decision.
